CSRC Send Teams to Check IPO Hopefuls’Reports

The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has started sending work teams to re-examine performance results submitted by companies waiting for its approval to go public.


This is the second phase of an unusually tough review that started at the beginning of this year. Among 612 firms that completed their self-examination before April 3, the CSRC has chosen 30 to verify their reports.


The first batch of 15 work teams, comprising accountants and officials from CSRC departments related to initial stock offerings, was sent to 15 of those companies to check their reports, the regulator announced at a press briefing on April 12.
