Calling China’s new government strategy paper “an ambitious agenda” for market reforms, U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew on Friday pressed President Xi Jinping for details on how his government plans to liberalize the world’s second-largest economy.
“I think there is going to continue to be progress, but the question is how much and how quickly,” Mr. Lew said after meetings with Mr. Xi and his top finance officials.
