Consensus at Summit Promotes Cooperation

The US will try to maintain its status as the world’s sole superpower while cooperating with China, while China will try to attain a deserved status while making greater contributions to the world with its growing strength. In the view of the countries’ leaders, these two “status” aims need not conflict on today’s global stage.
